Jamie's Music Career

It was the late 80's. At the time I was shooting all these young bands while simultaneously rehearsing my own band in the basement of my photographic studio. Inspired by how these bands were getting record deals I went for a deal myself and got one with Sony Music for my band called Morgan/Mcvey with my band mate Cameron Mcvey who later Married Neneh Cherry. The B-side to our first single 'Looking Good Diving’ became the Neneh's No 1 international hit "Buffalo Stance", a tribute to the Buffalo boys. I went on to have a solo career and a hit with my version of the Lou Reed's classic "Walk on the wild side", produced my Massive Attack. It went to number one in a few countries and top 30 in the UK. A fun ride while it lasted!
